Patrons and Benefactors

Patrons and Benefactors make a special contribution to the Society. Their generous donations allow the Society to devote even more resources to the achievement of its charitable aims.

All donations from UK residents can be designated as Gift-Aid. If you choose to Gift-Aid your donation, you are making an added contribution to the work of the Society[1].

Please consider making a commitment of two or more years to allow confident forward planning and a greater involvement in determining the future of the Society. To set up a direct debit, please click on the appropriate button below.

 [1] Gift Aid contributions are regarded as having had the basic tax rate of 20% deducted by the donor. Charities take your donation and reclaim the basic rate tax from HMRC. For example, if you Gift Aid a donation of £10, the Charity will receive £12.50. More information is available from http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/individuals/giving/gift-aid.htm. Please note that owing to HMRC Gift-Aid regulations you must also be a Member to receive monetary Member benefits such as publishers' discounts. If you like, you can divide your contribution (e.g. £950 gift-aidable, £50 membership).

As a Benefactor you receive two copies of the Society newsletter each year; invitation to the Annual General Meeting and winter event; receipt of Cronache Ercolanesi, the journal of CISPE, or a choice of books related to Herculaneum; publication of name in Society newsletter (if desired); invitation to annual luncheon meeting of Benefactors and Patrons.
